Frequently asked questions

When can we apply for the visa?

You can apply for a Schengen visa to Greece up to 6 months before your travel date. It’s best to apply early - especially during busy months like April to July.

What will the weather be like?

Expect mild and slightly crisp autumn vibes! 🌤️

Daytime highs: Around 19°C (66°F)
Evenings: Cooler, about 13°C (55°F)
Chance of rain: Possible - pack a light rain jacket, just in case!
Sea temp: Around 19.5°C (great for brave swimmers 😄)

How do we get from Santorini airport/ferry point to the venue?

You’ll find plenty of official local taxis and Uber services available at both the airport and ferry port.

What about hair and make-up services?

Remember, you are coming during off-season, so getting salon services might be challenging. So research and book ahead - it is possible you will require to pay a deposit. We are putting together a compendium of potential hair and make-up artists that you can book with directly, but please feel free to do your own research.

What can we get for the bride and groom?

1. We would be more than happy with just your presence.

2. But if you so desire, check out our gift ideas. Be kind to your baggage and ours - get us gift cards :D

3. We understand that in Indian tradition, you might want to give us shagan in cash - we always like money BUTTT please don't get any cash to give us in Santorini - carrying it back will be a nightmare for us. If you so desire, we can share our bank account details or are more than happy to accept this in India :D

4. If none of this excites you, then we are always happy to accept experiences or your favourite restaurant vouchers.

We fly to Athens. How do we get from Athens to Santorini?

You’ve made it to Athens - yay! 🥳 Now let’s get you to Santorini:

⛴️ By Ferry (Scenic & Relaxed)

From: Piraeus Port (30-45 mins from central Athens)

What about accommodation from 31st Oct-3 Nov?

Your accommodation is catered for, from 31 October (check-in 15.00hrs) to 3 November (check-out 11.00 hrs). Please let us know about your travel details in the RSVP section.

Where can we book accommodation for days before/after the wedding?

It really depends on your plans, but we recommend considering locations like Fira, Megalochori or Oia. Since you'll be visiting during the off-season, we suggest checking ahead to make sure the places you're interested in will be open.

What type of clothes should I get?

You do you boo - the choice is yours! Feel free to wear whatever makes you feel fabulous - whether that’s dressing it up or keeping it casual, and in any colour that speaks to you. Comfort is key, so wear what makes you feel your best!

I have a less frequently asked question, who can I ask?
